Development and Training Needs
Identifying Development needs -  The simulation can also be used to identify development
needs for managers. This requires feedback about the individual’s outputs from the exercise,
followed by a coaching/training plan.
The following choices are available:
Individual review - 1 or 2 hour versions. Paper based version can also be used here. The
shorter web programme would still provide sufficient information on which to base a review of needs.
Group work - The programme can be given to small groups, 2-3 people, during training events,
with the brief to present their recommendations at the end of your alloted time.
The WashBox simulation requires the ability to take in a large amount of information quickly and
then to make decisions about what action need to be taken.

Managing change
WashBox material is therefore also suitable for use in further education, where a broader
understanding of the management process is required.
